Terms of Service

Last updated: 8 June 2026

By using Ledger ("the app"), you agree to these terms.

What Ledger is

Ledger is a personal finance tracker. You log your own accounts, spending, and recurring expenses. It is a record-keeping tool, not a bank, payment service, investment advisor, or financial-advice provider. It does not move money or connect to your bank.

Your account and data

Acceptable use

Don't use the app to break the law, attempt to breach its security or other users' data, or abuse the sync service (e.g., automated bulk abuse).

Availability

The app is provided "as is" and "as available". Sync depends on third-party infrastructure and may be interrupted. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. Your local data remains yours and exportable regardless.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of the app, including data loss, missed payments, or decisions made based on the figures you track. The app is a tool; financial decisions are yours.

No warranty

We make no warranty that the app is error-free or that synced data is always available. You are encouraged to keep your own exports/backups.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; continued use after an update means you accept it.
